Why has the previous wooden sign been replaced with a totally inappropriate metal sign? This sign does not indicate where it leads to or how far the distance is! The original sign indicated that it was one and a half miles to Cudham. The sign is located next to the village pond which is in the Conservation Area and therefore should be replaced ‘like for like’.

What happened to the original post which was broken? Can we get it be repaired?

We don’t know what happened to the original wooden sign but would have thought it could have been repaired.
We have notified ‘Fix My Street’ that this is an inappropriate metal sign to replace the wooden sign that formerly stood here.
We have also reminded them this is in the Conservation Area and, as such, should be replaced ‘like for like’.
